About Us
Rebecca Lashbrook, a native Tennessean, is the daughter of two lifetime government servants. Her father, a decorated Air Force veteran, passed away when she was only five years old. She and her single mother learned the importance of self-reliance and family, above all else. After graduation, Rebecca began her travels as an Army wife, living in such “exotic” places as Fairbanks, Alaska, to Watertown, New York. Rebecca and her husband returned to Middle Tennessee when her husband was assigned to the Nashville Recruiting Battalion for the United States Army, where she received a degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2000.
Soon after, she and her husband were blessed with two amazing children. With a new focus on her family, Rebecca left the corporate arena and began working closer to home in the legal communities of Rutherford and Cannon County, primarily in the areas of family and criminal law. Rebecca continued her service to the community with a focus on her children’s activities, volunteering in a multitude of arenas. Rebecca believes that giving back to the community and helping the community from the grass roots is essential and must be a priority for everyone.
Once both children entered school, she returned to her educational pursuits at Nashville School of Law. Balancing her commitments to her family, the community and her education, Rebecca was given the opportunity to work as the Law Clerk for the Juvenile Court of Rutherford County for over three years. This work experience was invaluable in gaining first-hand knowledge of the consideration of the judiciary in a variety of cases ranging from criminal, paternity, custody, dependency and neglect, to termination of parental rights. Not one to let grass grow under her feet, Rebecca sought and received certification from the Supreme Court of Tennessee as a Rule 31 Mediator in domestic law. She has also received training as a Guardian ad Litem to serve the interests of children who have been subjected to abuse or neglect.
This dedication to family and the community, coupled with her strong work ethic gained from a respect for her selfless mother, are the cornerstones of Rebecca’s practice of law. Each day, she begins with a prayer for those people she holds most dear and for a focused dedication on behalf of her clients.
